Job Duties
- Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and safety in the restaurant
- directing productivity to maintain efficient food ticket times
- managing performance of Back of House employees including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
- assisting in development of key employees by providing daily performance feedback
- conducting line taste and temperature checks for inventory and kitchen safety
- overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all food items
- managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
- directing work schedules and assigning tasks for Back of House employees
- training staff on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
- reviewing applications, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations for Back of House employees
- creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values and operational goals
