Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent applicable work experience
- Degree in Culinary Arts Business Education or similar field required
- Minimum 7 years experience managing planning and operating a food service establishment
- Minimum 5 years food service training experience
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to SRM's Statement of Faith and Core Values
- Valid driver’s license current proof of insurance and clean driving record for minimum 3 years
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs bending reaching carrying standing
- Comfortable using kitchen and office equipment including dishwasher ice machine industrial slicer mixers ovens steamers grill fryer computer phone fax copier
- Willingness to attend staff and supervisor meetings and participate in ministry activities
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse staff and volunteers
- Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Duties
- Oversee food services staff including coordinators cooks instructors clients and volunteers
- Ensure strict adherence to kitchen safety and cleanliness procedures recipes and overall meal quality standards
- Provide training supervision and feedback to clients as part of vocational training emphasizing culinary arts
- Collaborate with program leadership on annual kitchen budget and manage food service expenses
- Maintain quality partner relationships with food providers
- Create fresh nutritionally sound meals within budget that promote physical health restoration
- Provide health and nutrition training for clients regularly
- Track all monies spent and revenue received in food services
- Coordinate with distribution manager for usage of donated foods
- Oversee and direct culinary instruction and food service contracts
- Seek collaboration with outside partners for client internships
- Participate in hiring training supervising scheduling and evaluating staff
- Operate food services in compliance with health and safety standards
- Inspect kitchen dining and food storage areas regularly for conformance to health codes and standards
- Work with volunteer department to maintain volunteer service descriptions
- Negotiate with vendors for donations purchases and delivery of food and supplies
- Inspect all deliveries for freshness and quality
- Maintain departmental equipment and notify leadership for repairs
- Attend meetings to advance ministry and perform additional duties as requested
