Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in kitchen supervision or management
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • good organizational and time management skills
  • strong interpersonal and leadership qualities
  • willingness to complete training at the Jalapeno Tree in Tyler, TX

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in kitchen management or a similar leadership role in the food service industry
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent organizational and team leadership skills
  • ability to manage inventory and control food costs
  • effective communication and coaching abilities
  • proficiency with restaurant management systems

Job Duties

  • lead back-of-house operations with a focus on food quality and cleanliness
  • manage BOH scheduling, food and supply ordering, and inventory control
  • oversee cost of goods management to meet profitability goals
  • train and coach kitchen staff to develop their skills and ensure team effectiveness
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • lead shifts using restaurant systems and tools to ensure smooth operations
  • uphold compliance with food service regulations and company standards
