- Experience in managing food service operations in a healthcare or similar setting
Job Duties
- Plan dietary services including menu planning and food purchasing
- Participate in departmental and supervisor meetings
- Interview residents to obtain diet history and maintain food preference records
- Monitor food preparation ensuring nutritious and timely meals
- Supervise hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining of dietary staff
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance with regulations
- Manage budget, supplies, and maintain disaster preparedness food stock
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and adherence to infection control practices
- Attend in-service education programs and maintain confidentiality
- Protect residents from neglect and abuse
- Perform additional duties as assigned
