Job Duties
- oversee and coordinate all kitchen activities ensuring food is prepared and served according to Uncle Giuseppe's recipes portion standards and presentation guidelines
- manage and mentor kitchen staff fostering a positive and productive work environment
- conduct hiring training performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed
- maintain and monitor kitchen inventory placing orders based on menu needs and business demand
- partner with department managers to develop menu items set pricing and determine portion sizes
- schedule shifts based on business needs holidays and special events
- ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- maintain a clean organized and safe kitchen environment
- conduct regular inventories and implement measures to minimize waste
- perform additional duties and projects as assigned
- oversee all food safety inventory and quality assurance processes
- ensure food is stored labeled and handled according to proper safety standards
- monitor product quality and consistency throughout the day
- enforce food safety compliance among all team members
