Job Requirements
- Prior kitchen leadership experience preferred or demonstrated proficiency in kitchen execution and leadership
- servsafe certification
- ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and weekends
- ability to stand and walk for long hours
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- knowledge of food safety laws and labor laws
- ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- strong conflict resolution skills
- knowledge of computer use for management
- culinary degree a plus

Job Duties
- Hire, develop and retain kitchen team members
- manage food quality standards including temperature monitoring and storage
- maintain food safety as a top priority
- perform basic equipment repairs or coordinate maintenance
- develop and cross-train team members
- ensure a sense of urgency in kitchen operations
- assign daily workstations and manage breaks
- ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen
- collaborate with shift leaders, assistant managers and general managers on special business growth requests
- manage day-to-day kitchen operations
- enforce core values and accountability
- improve daily performance
- manage inventory and SSA ordering
- prepare quarterly scorecards related to cleanliness, food quality and presentation
- comply and execute all labor and food safety laws
- oversee cleaning programs
- maintain accurate temperature and control point logs
- apply timed holding system consistently
- monitor and manage breakfast and cold entrée waste
- manage food costs and product mix gaps
- ensure proper inventory rotation and product storage
- enforce adherence to prep procedures, recipes and cooking methods
