Job Requirements

Team player with a sense of humor
high school diploma or equivalent required
good math and communication skills
experience as a Kitchen Manager in full service or fast casual restaurant
demonstrated leadership skills including coaching, directing and motivating a team
exposure to P&L and sales building highly desirable
ability to lift 30 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally
capable of standing, bending and walking throughout entire workday
able to work under high physical, mental and emotional stress
effective use of office and restaurant equipment
strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

Support Head Trainer to ensure training materials are effectively used in team member training
coach, train and develop Back of House team members in their job roles
ensure all new team members attend orientation and support trainers during training
follow up with team members and trainers and conduct performance-oriented training
deliver restaurant profitability by operating within cost of goods and labor productivity guidelines
hold kitchen team accountable for product, labor and operating goals
prepare accurate financial information and conduct weekly inventories
maintain personnel records and support GM with performance reviews and new hire processes
complete payroll forms and maintain schedules according to sales forecasts
document disciplinary actions properly
promote Hopdoddy culture and stay updated on marketing and competitive issues
build support for company initiatives
set leadership example through conduct and appearance
ensure food is prepared to company standards and follow food safety procedures
maintain proper staffing and operations in the back of the house
ensure preventive maintenance and cleaning are completed
provide warm hospitality and engage guests positively
handle guest complaints with urgency
motivate and build teamwork among Back of House team
maintain consistent performance standards
participate in coaching and leadership development
communicate effectively with management, team and guests
conduct walkthroughs and review shopper scores
demonstrate initiative and manage multiple tasks effectively
arrive on time and prepare shift for success
complete leadership one on ones weekly
