Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in restaurant kitchen management
- Proven leadership experience as a Kitchen or Restaurant Manager
- Strong knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle conflict professionally
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Trustworthy with strong work ethics
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner
- 2-4 years restaurant kitchen experience
- Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager or Restaurant Manager
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Conflict management abilities
- Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
- Ensure all food dishes adhere to company standards and expectations
- Oversee purchasing for all food menu items
- Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Ensure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately
- Price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager
- Assist the General Manager with recruiting and hiring of Kitchen Crew and Utility Staff
- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
- Be fully in charge of hiring, managing, and training kitchen staff
- Oversee the work of subordinates
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between teammates
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department head
