Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years supervisory experience preferably in food production
  • ability to communicate clearly with employees, vendors, and guests
  • ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • ability to work extensive standing without breaks
  • ability to handle exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold and odors
  • ability to bend, reach, and walk
  • ability to reach heights of 6 feet and depths of 2.5 to 3 feet
  • high level of mobility and flexibility
  • ability to fit through 30 inch wide openings
  • ability to work irregular hours under heavy pressure and stress during busy times
  • ability to carry trays weighing 20 pounds over 30 feet
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years previous experience in a supervisory role preferably in food production
  • high school diploma, some college or degree preferred
  • ability to communicate clearly with employees, vendors, and guests
  • ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower
  • responsible for achieving plan profit levels while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction
  • assist in the planning and analysis of restaurant unit manpower including development and training of employees
  • assist General Manager in employment and staffing including recruitment, training, and new hire orientation
  • attend University of Perkins and complete coursework
  • achieve and maintain ServSafe certification
  • perform and assist in all restaurant functions
  • ensure menu items are prepared and presented properly and safely
  • monitor food temperatures to reduce risk of food-borne illness
  • ensure staffing and scheduling meet productivity and service standards
  • manage facility and equipment through maintenance and safety adherence
  • maintain food and non-food inventory levels
  • ensure accurate financial data including supplies, food costs, payroll, and expenses
  • identify and correct system breakdowns
  • prepare and review financial reports
  • attend team meetings and present to management as requested
