Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in kitchen management or culinary leadership
  • Valid Washington State Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in kitchen management or culinary leadership, preferably in catering or banquet production
  • Proven ability to manage staff, schedules, and food production in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen operations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Valid Washington State Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring timely and high-quality food preparation for all events
  • Develop and execute production schedules based on event orders and timelines
  • Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment
  • Maintain inventory and place orders for food, supplies, and equipment within budget parameters
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations including Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department standards
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Event Coordinators on menu planning and event logistics
  • Manage portion control, quality assurance, and consistency across all menu items
