Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/G.E.D.
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations and staff
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • Basic computer skills for inventory and record keeping
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and safety procedures

Job Duties

  • Able to delegate responsibilities, instruct other, and manage time
  • Computer skills, inventory, time sheets, production records, programs (Nutrikids, Infinite Campus & POS) and etc.
  • Follow standardized recipe
  • Assists in preparation and serving food in a quick and pleasant manner
  • Produces quality food products and follows standardized recipes closely
  • Operates a variety of equipment, including grinder, mixer, oven, range, dishwasher, steam kettle, slicer, etc.
  • Managing a crew of employee's
  • Assist in general daily clean up of the kitchen and service areas
  • Assists in major cleaning or refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as requested
  • Attends relevant training classes and workshops in order to maintain food service knowledge
  • Assists with the proper storage and disposal of unused foods
  • Deals with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive encouraging manner
  • Knows and follows school policy and chain of command
  • Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment
  • Performs such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).
