Job Requirements
- College coursework with Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a restaurant manager preferred
- Prior experience in purchasing and production
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
- Frequent bending and stooping required
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be able to hear well among loud background noise
- Must bring joy to the job that inspires others
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of restaurant management experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations
- Experience in purchasing and production
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lead and develop a diverse team
- Knowledge of inventory management
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
Job Duties
- Manages operations during scheduled shifts including daily decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
- Maintains an accurate and up-to-date manpower plan of staffing needs
- Prepares schedules and ensures proper staffing for all shifts
- Staffs, trains and develops hourly team members through ongoing feedback and coaching, establishment of performance expectations, and conducting performance reviews
- Ensures all new hires complete their training plans and required paperwork
- Interacts frequently with guests to ensure they receive the Fridays Service Style experience and follows up on issues and complaints
- Follows operational theories to anticipate guest needs and set up the restaurant for outstanding shifts
- Observes kitchen operations and addresses issues promptly
- Identifies opportunities to build sales and control costs and develops plans to address them
- Manages inventory efficiently, accurately and cost-effectively
- Ensures food quality by maintaining cleanliness, organization, storage and sanitation
- Coaches and develops talent
- Responsible for purchasing, receiving, and storing food products while minimizing waste and optimizing costs
- Fosters open communication with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Acts as Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager
- Ensures proper security procedures are in place
