Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- three or more years of kitchen management experience
- current ServSafe certification
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume retail or entertainment environment
- strong organizational and leadership skills
- ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
- willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- physical ability to walk, bend, stand for extended periods, and lift objects with assistance
Job Qualifications
- at least three years of kitchen management experience
- bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred
- experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venues
- experience preparing banquet-style events
- current ServSafe certification
- ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred
- strong customer service skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- high level of profit and loss capability
- proven leadership and organizational skills
Job Duties
- adhere to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
- maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow
- review monthly profit and loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
- work with operations and sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute events including food preparation, service, and cleanup
- estimate food consumption and make purchases according to the food program
- schedule staff efficiently to accommodate shifts in business volume
- recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff
- ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
- oversee preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food
- manage kitchen equipment maintenance
- implement and conduct sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with local Department of Health regulations
