Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • One to two years previous supervisory experience, preferably in food production
  • Effective communication skills with employees, vendors, and guests
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Extensive standing without breaks
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors
  • Ability to bend, reach, and walk frequently
  • Ability to reach heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2.5 to 3 feet
  • High level of mobility and flexibility
  • Ability to fit through openings 30 inches wide
  • Ability to work irregular hours under heavy pressure and stress
  • Capability to carry trays weighing 20 pounds for up to 30 feet
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years previous supervisory experience, preferably in food production
  • High school diploma required, some college or degree preferred
  • Effective communication skills with employees, vendors, and guests
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower
  • Responsible for achieving plan profit levels while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction
  • Assist in planning and analysis of restaurant unit manpower including development and training of employees
  • Assist General Manager in employment and staffing including recruitment, training, and orientation
  • Attend University of Perkins and complete coursework
  • Achieve and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Perform and assist in all restaurant functions
  • Ensure menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean and sanitary manner
  • Monitor and oversee food temperatures to reduce food-borne illness risk
  • Ensure restaurant compliance with productivity and service standards through proper scheduling and staffing
  • Manage facility and equipment maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, security, safety, and sanitation
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for food and non-food items
  • Ensure accurate financial data including supplies, inventories, food cost, payroll, and expenses
  • Identify and correct system breakdowns to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Accountable for payroll, cash, receipts, and financial reporting
  • Attend scheduled meetings and make presentations as needed
