Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff and understand licensing regulations and company policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience managing kitchen operations preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary restrictions
  • Ability to manage and coordinate a small team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a childcare or educational setting beneficial

Job Duties

  • Manage daily kitchen operations including meal preparation and food safety adherence
  • Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and teamwork
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to support daily menu requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all health regulations and handle food allergies and dietary restrictions carefully
  • Implement and monitor cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with educational staff to align meal planning with children’s nutritional needs
  • Train new kitchen team members on policies and procedures
