Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in kitchen or restaurant management
  • Knowledge of safe food handling procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or similar supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience in managing food costs and controlling waste
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Familiarity with employee performance management techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • Enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and safety of guests at all times
  • Directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
  • Managing performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • Assisting with the development of all key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance
  • Conducting formal line Taste and Temp checks as part of overall inventory and safety responsibility
  • Overseeing the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
  • Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • Directing work for Back of House employees, including setting hours and weekly schedules, and assigning tasks before, during and after open hours
  • Training Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring or making recommendations to hire Back of House employees
  • Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values and operational goals
