Job Requirements

  • food handling licensing
  • previous AKM or KM experience
  • availability to work any shift and all holidays
  • ability to coach, develop talent and mentor staff
  • strong English communication skills
  • commitment to quality service and food knowledge
  • computer literacy for ordering and inventory management
  • serve safe certification within 6 months of employment
  • knowledge and adherence to licensing, labor laws, health and safety regulations, food handling and hygiene laws
  • ability to work minimum 50 hours per week
  • physical ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • able to lift 35 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally
  • ability to work in fast-paced and hot kitchen environment
  • positive, self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask

Job Qualifications

  • serve safe certification within six months of employment
  • experience as an Assistant Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Manager
  • excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work all shifts including holidays
  • leadership and mentoring skills
  • proficiency in computer skills relevant to inventory and recipe management
  • good knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and professional cooking techniques
  • problem-solving capabilities
  • ability to work effectively under pressure
  • bilingual Spanish skills encouraged

Job Duties

  • manage daily kitchen operations ensuring food quality and appearance
  • oversee training, performance, and development of kitchen staff
  • maintain inventory control including ordering and recipe maintenance
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations
  • coordinate with General Manager and Directors on budget and operational goals
  • supervise opening and closing procedures and kitchen cleanliness
  • foster a positive work environment and lead by example
