Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • College coursework with Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as restaurant manager with extensive knowledge of restaurant operations preferred
  • Prior experience in purchasing and production
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Superb communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to connect with diverse customer base
  • Proven leadership and team development skills

Job Duties

  • Manages operations during scheduled shifts including decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date manpower plan of staffing needs, prepares schedules and ensures proper staffing for all shifts
  • Staffs, trains and develops hourly team members through ongoing feedback, coaching, establishment of performance expectations and conducting regular performance reviews
  • Ensures all new hires follow and complete appropriate training plans, including required paperwork
  • Frequently interacts with guests to deliver the Fridays Service Style experience and follow up on issues and complaints
  • Follows the Bubble Theory to proactively run shifts and anticipate guest needs
  • Applies the Hamburger Stand Theory to prepare the restaurant and staff for outstanding shifts
  • Observes kitchen operations, promptly addressing issues out of alignment
  • Identifies operational opportunities to increase sales and control costs and develops plans to address them
  • Manages inventory efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Maintains high levels of food quality, cleanliness, organization, storage and sanitation
  • Coaches and develops team talent
  • Responsible for purchasing, receiving and storing food products, inspecting suppliers, ensuring use of correct products and maintaining proper par levels to minimize waste
  • Fosters open communication between kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Acts as Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager overseeing restaurant operations and security protocols
