Job Requirements

  • College coursework with Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of restaurant management experience preferred
  • Prior experience in purchasing and production
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to walk and stand during entire shift
  • Frequent bending and stooping required
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to hear well amongst loud background noise
  • Must bring joy to the job and inspire others

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a restaurant manager with extensive knowledge of restaurant operations preferred
  • Prior experience in purchasing and production
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to manage inventory and control food costs
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Manages operations during scheduled shifts including daily decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning
  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date manpower plan of staffing needs and prepares schedules
  • Staffs, trains and develops hourly team members through feedback, coaching and performance reviews
  • Ensures all newly hired team members complete their training plan and required paperwork
  • Frequently interacts with guests to ensure they receive the Fridays Service Style experience and follows up on any issues
  • Follows the Bubble Theory to proactively run a shift and anticipate guest needs
  • Observes kitchen operations and addresses any issues promptly
  • Identifies operational opportunities to build sales and control costs and implements plans
  • Manages inventory efficiently and accurately
  • Ensures food quality by maintaining cleanliness, organization, storage and sanitation
  • Demonstrates responsibility for purchasing, receiving and storing food products
  • Fosters open communication with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Oversees entire restaurant operation as acting Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager
  • Ensures proper security procedures are in place to protect team members, guests and company assets
