Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three years of kitchen management experience
  • current ServSafe certification
  • ability to work in fast-paced high volume environments
  • strong organizational and leadership skills
  • ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
  • ability to lift objects with assistance
  • flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • three or more years of kitchen management experience
  • bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred
  • experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venues
  • experience preparing banquet style events
  • current ServSafe certification required
  • ServSafe instructor certification or ability to certify preferred
  • strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • high-level profit and loss management capability

Job Duties

  • adhere to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow as related to food operations
  • review monthly profit and loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • work with operations and sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute all events including food and beverage preparation and cleanup
  • estimate food consumption and make purchases accordingly
  • schedule staff efficiently to accommodate business volume shifts
  • recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff
  • ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
  • supervise preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food
  • manage kitchen equipment maintenance and conduct sanitation audits and cleaning schedules complying with local department of health regulations
