Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ experience planning and preparing meal services
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Experience in delivery of meal services in large group settings
- Experience in controlling cost and inventory
- Ability to obtain donations, grants and contributor assistance
- A practicing Christian willing to serve and disciple those who enter the mission

Job Duties
- Create the menus and orchestrate meal planning, preparation, and service for the mission
- Supervise, train, and coach employees, volunteers, and residents working in the kitchen and pantry
- Write and coordinate schedules to optimize volunteer and resident hours while ensuring employee oversight
- Manage expenses through foresight and creativity, maximizing donations to create healthy and balanced meals
- Manage supply inventory and pantry organization
- Ensure operations and food preparation areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner exceeding all applicable health department safety rules and regulations
- Manage and train others on proper food rotation to prevent waste
- Collaborate daily with pantry and training kitchen to manage inventory
- Maintain and ensure completion of required food and temperature logs
- Hold proper Serve Safe licensing to oversee department
- Build relationships with volunteers to create a memorable volunteer experience
- Look for creative ways to provide exceptional hospitality to guests, training others to do the same
- Oversee department functions related to the People Team including timecard approvals, interviewing, and performance management
