Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a kitchen supervisory or management role
- Familiarity with food safety standards and compliance
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead a diverse team
- Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in kitchen management or similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle inventory management and cost control
- Knowledge of scheduling and labor cost optimization
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- Enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests at all times
- Directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
- Managing performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
- Assisting with the development of key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones
- Conducting formal line taste and temperature checks as part of inventory and safety responsibilities
- Overseeing the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
- Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures
- Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
- Directing work for Back of House employees including setting hours, weekly schedules, and assigning tasks before, during, and after restaurant open hours
- Training Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
- Reviewing applications, interviewing, and recommending hiring of Back of House employees
- Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment aligned with company core values and operational goals
