Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years chef, sous chef, or direct kitchen management experience
  • one year supervisory experience managing five or more employees preferred
  • minimum three years customer service experience
  • strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and Department of Health guidelines
  • proven ability to manage sales, expenses, and labor costs
  • effective merchandising and display skills
  • comprehensive product and culinary knowledge including ingredients and cooking procedures
  • excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • cutlery skills and culinary terminology knowledge
  • demonstrated ability to organize production staff and solve problems
  • strong interest and passion for food

Job Duties

  • Assist the Prepared Foods Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader with product displays and merchandising
  • ensure proficiency in production tasks including recipe compliance, food preparation, portion control, and labeling
  • manage effective ordering and inventory control to support sales growth
  • interact with vendors to determine order quantities and costs
  • maintain stocking standards including rotation and cleanliness
  • plan and assign daily projects and activities for production employees
  • lead and participate in product promotions and focuses
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation requirements including HACCP and Department of Health provisions
  • train team members and provide coaching, feedback, and counseling
  • perform physical inventory as needed
