Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40 lbs
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, climb ladder, and stand for long periods of time
- Open availability including Fridays and Saturdays
- Work a minimum of 40 hours per week with overtime ability
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be age 18 or older
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Job Qualifications
- ServeSafe certified or ability to pass the test if administered by employer
- Allergen certified
- Experience coaching or leading kitchen or back of house teams
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with management and team members
- Experience with scheduling, planning, and documentation
- Familiarity with LEAN365 or production efficiency practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve operational issues
- Passion for maintaining high food quality and safety standards
Job Duties
- Lead kitchen team to maintain a food safe environment that consistently delivers crave-able food in a timely manner which meets or exceeds Chick-fil-A quality requirements
- Coach the behaviors of the kitchen and back of house team including assistant kitchen manager, team leaders, team members, and trainers
- Ensure guests are served under 4 minutes without compromising accuracy, team and food safety
- Maintain attention to detail ensuring preparation and production procedures follow Chick-fil-A brand standards
- Execute systems including JOLT checklist to maintain a refreshingly clean environment
- Maintain a work environment promoting food safety with top 10 percent Board of Health inspection and GOOD SAFE evaluation
- Collaborate daily with assistant kitchen manager and general manager to ensure maximum productivity and troubleshoot issues
- Support LEAN365 production and waste management practices
- Provide daily coaching, evaluation, accountability, and feedback for kitchen team leaders and members
- Lead and execute formal annual feedback, review process, and training plans for team members and semi-annual for assistant KM and kitchen team leaders
- Develop assistant kitchen manager, team leaders, and trainers consistently and deliberately
- Update kitchen goal boards and monitor monthly performance on CFA operating metrics
- Communicate kitchen goals to BOH team effectively
- Work with assistant kitchen manager to ensure proper coverage for business needs
- Lead kitchen with enthusiasm and passion while upholding Chick-fil-A food safety and brand standards
- Execute 4-step progressive discipline policy
- Allocate a minimum of 5 hours a week to planning, scheduling, documenting, and other responsibilities in collaboration with assistant kitchen manager and/or general manager
