Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in kitchen management or food service leadership
  • Understanding of safe food handling and sanitation practices
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer skills for scheduling and inventory systems
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Proficient in inventory management and cost control
  • Experience in staff training and development
  • Familiarity with scheduling and labor management
  • Ability to enforce policies and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • Enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests
  • Directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
  • Managing performance of Back of House employees including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • Assisting with development of key employees by providing daily feedback during one-on-ones
  • Conducting formal line taste and temperature checks for inventory and safety
  • Overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
  • Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • Directing work for Back of House employees including setting hours and weekly schedules, and assigning tasks
  • Training Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring or recommending Back of House employees
  • Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values and operational goals
