Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of three years supervisory experience in food service or related industry
  • strong communication skills
  • leadership and team development ability
  • problem solving and organizational skills
  • capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift 10-35 lbs
  • computer literacy for basic office functions
  • availability to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • ability to train and evaluate staff

Job Duties

  • Perform the steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client
  • ensure restaurant is adequately prepped and staffed for daily operation
  • oversee location kitchen duties ensuring quick service, food safety and quality, availability, merchandising and guest service standards are met and excelled
  • oversee safety logs including food temperatures, rotation and waste
  • ensure proper uniform, hygiene, handwashing and glove use with staff
  • support SSAfety training with knife handling skills and ensure proper use of knives and slicers
  • create daily prep and item lists, delegating to employees as necessary
  • actively support operation and fill holes as necessary to ensure smooth service
  • maintain a checklist of routine or daily cleaning tasks and ongoing projects or menu planning
  • assign associates to duties, coaching through daily tasks and guest interaction
  • respond efficiently to guest and client feedback and report to operations manager
  • oversee personnel duties such as training new employees, issuing performance reviews, managing progressive documentation, reporting attendance and hour discrepancies, and overseeing break management
  • inspect equipment and perform routine maintenance and cleaning
  • communicate with Regional Executive Chef and Food Service Operations Manager on daily service or quality issues
  • work with restaurant supervisors to ensure locations meet operational standards
  • remain knowledgeable of and comply with all applicable laws
  • maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
  • uphold company policies and procedures
  • perform other tasks as needed.
