Job Requirements
- Culinary education desired
- 4+ years kitchen experience within a full service restaurant
- 1+ years of experience leading a team of 5 or more staff highly desired
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work on feet for 8+ hours a day
- Ability to read, write, and understand English

- Advanced knowledge of Aslan’s food menu to resolve allergy concerns when necessary
- Thorough understanding of good hygiene and food safety rules
- Strong communication skills required to maintain a good team culture
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Ability to maintain calm and professional in times of peak service
Job Duties
- Manages the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other enhancements to day-to-day kitchen operations
- Continuously inspects kitchen and equipment to ensure sanitation procedures are being properly followed
- Manages the inventory of supplies and ingredients while also trying to cut down on food waste and cost
- Regularly examines suppliers to ensure affordability of supplies and ingredients
- Sets prices for menu items in conjunction with the Aslan Seattle Operations Manager
- Manages allergen documentation and ensures updates are recorded in real time
- Maintains accurate food costs reporting and communicates with Aslan Seattle Operations Manager
- Maintains creative menu specials while soliciting feedback and suggestions on recipes from BOH staff
- Regularly works alongside BOH staff to lead by example and set the bar for service
