Job Requirements
- must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit

- valid driver's license
- 2+ years cooking experience preferred

Job Qualifications

- 2+ years cooking experience preferred
- possession of Food Handler's card
- strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties
- prepare all cold and hot food with care and ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards
- maintain great communication skills with the General Manager and rest of the team
- continuously promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts
- embrace and exemplify the SCP culture and core values in day-to-day duties
- learn and adapt the menu and help to answer guests questions about the plant forward plan
- ensure full understanding of kitchen functional areas
- assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations
- visually inspect, select, and use only the freshest ingredients in preparation of menu items
- ensure dishes are prepared and cooked according to restaurant standards
- plate prepared foods based on senior chef guidance
- ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products in compliance with health regulations
- wash and clean kitchen and cooking utensils and store equipment at end of shifts
- inspect, plan, and ensure all materials and equipment are ready for service
- maintain knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
- comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- report all accidents and breakages to the General Manager
- adhere to food safety hygiene standards
- remain up to date on safety issues and comply with health and safety regulations
- work safely and abide by OSHA regulations and hotel policies regarding accident reporting
