Job Requirements

  • Must have high level of mobility and flexibility
  • must be able to work irregular hours under heavy stress and pressure during peak times
  • must be able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • must possess a high level of coordination
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
  • must be able to fit through an opening 30 inches wide
  • requires frequent reaching, bending, pushing and pulling
  • exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold and odors
  • requires continual standing and walking
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a kitchen environment preferred
  • ability to communicate in English

Job Qualifications

  • Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service obtained through in-house training
  • ability to communicate clearly
  • prior kitchen or food service experience preferred but not required
  • strong multitasking and coordination skills
  • ability to work under pressure during peak times

Job Duties

  • Work cooperatively with Kitchen Manager to ensure all budget expenses are within limits
  • identify and communicate ways to improve and streamline operation
  • keep General Manager/Kitchen Manager informed of problems and propose alternative solutions
  • maintain a clean and safe facility
  • monitor and oversee food temperatures to reduce risk of food borne illness
  • communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • ensure clear communication with vendors providing equipment and supplies
  • complete walk-through and temperature checks in the kitchen
  • assist in ordering food, produce, liquor and supplies
  • assist in receiving deliveries and check paperwork
  • perform and assist in all kitchen operations functions
