Job Requirements

  • Food certification required
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Exceptional guest service orientation
  • Comfortable communicating and working with guests, peers, subordinates, vendors or partners
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, twist, bend and traverse stairs frequently
  • Availability to work during holidays, nights and weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must act with integrity and lead by example

Job Duties

  • Assist the kitchen manager to provide direction, coaching and leadership for all back-of-house employees including food preparation, production, safety and sanitation and company policies and procedures
  • Deliver exceptional guest experience through execution of great food
  • Utilize all tools necessary to ensure quality food is prepared to recipe specification within company approved ticket times
  • Ensure the freshness of food product through proper purchasing and product rotation utilizing the FIFO method
  • Check food storage and temperatures daily, record the temperatures on the log sheet and notify maintenance of any issues
  • Communicate, implement, and follow up on all changes for food products and kitchen systems and procedures if applicable
  • Perform daily opening, mid and closing operation duties
  • Responsible for attending trainings for new menu items and training kitchen staff on proper preparation of new menu items
  • Other duties as assigned
