Job Duties
- Prepare breakfast and lunch including scratch cooking
- plan and monitor prepping and preparing fresh fruits and vegetables daily for lunch and FFVP
- monitor tray accuracy for reimbursable meals
- maintain daily production records for meals and snacks
- assist with dishwashing and kitchen clean-up throughout the day
- properly wash, sanitize, and store kitchen utensils and equipment
- change water in sinks with proper soap and chemical dilutions
- maintain kitchen cleanliness per health standards
- order groceries and supplies weekly
- assist in unloading and check-in deliveries
- store inventory appropriately and report substandard food quality
- assist in checking expiration dates
- collect and record money for meals and ala carte
- assist students with lunch number entries and sales
- run daily financial reports and balance money received
- report discrepancies to Cashier Manager
- participate in staff meetings and annual training
- greet students and staff courteously
- maintain positive rapport with community
- cooperate respectfully with coworkers
- dress according to food service regulations including wearing hairnets and gloves
- accept constructive feedback and maintain confidentiality
- promptly report kitchen or cafeteria issues
- adhere to laws, policies, and regulations
- communicate professionally with all personnel
