Job Requirements

  • Applicant must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent plus four years experience in related maintenance fields
  • Proven advanced skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and general building repair
  • Knowledge of building management systems
  • Understanding of Central Plant and emergency power distribution systems
  • Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and drawings
  • Ability to read blueprints

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum four years experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry or kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Advanced knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and general building repair
  • Knowledge of building management systems
  • Ability to operate Central Plant and emergency power distribution systems
  • Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and drawings
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Perform advanced journey level, lead and specialized trade tasks including upholstery, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, kitchen equipment and general maintenance
  • Act as lead worker for assigned shift ensuring assignments are distributed and completed
  • Perform duties with minimal or no supervision
  • Provide advanced support to higher level management staff
  • Maintain buildings by performing major routine plumbing, electrical, carpentry, kitchen equipment and HVAC maintenance
  • Receive and complete work assignments via HotSOS and work orders as directed
  • Notify Maintenance Supervisor or Manager about major repair or equipment addition needs
  • Contact and coordinate work with outside vendors as directed
