Job Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Fluency in other languages beneficial
- Must follow instructions accurately both verbally and written
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work effectively with guests, vendors, and team members
- Ability to resolve problems diplomatically and tactfully
- Knowledge of food and beverage service operations preferred
- Must be physically able to stand, move, lift 50 lbs, grasp, and perform fine hand and arm movements
- Ability to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, and walk on uneven surfaces occasionally
- Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions occasionally
- Noise level tolerance and dexterity required
- Professional in appearance and demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Experience working efficiently in a high-volume production environment
- Knowledge of local, state, or federal food sanitation regulations
- State alcohol server certification
- State food handlers certificate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency
- Outstanding coordination and multitasking abilities
- Ability to learn and operate hospitality-specific software such as POS, PMS, and CRM
- Strong communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Job Duties
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times
- Resolve guest complaints to over-the-moon satisfaction
- Follow hotel policies with lost and found items
- Adhere to hotel requirements for guest and team member accidents or injuries and in emergency situations
- Continuously promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts
- Assist in preparation of ingredients including chopping, cutting, and measuring
- Execute cooking tasks following established recipes and presentation standards
- Plate prepared foods based on senior chef's guidance
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area including workstations and equipment
- Assist with monitoring kitchen inventory and report shortages
- Participate in quality control measures through taste tests and inspections
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Work closely with the culinary team to maintain smooth operations
- Coordinate with servers to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and timely
- Stay informed about menu offerings including daily specials
- Inspect and ensure readiness of materials and equipment for service
- Maintain knowledge of equipment maintenance and use
- Comply with departmental policies and standards
- Report accidents and breakages
- Adhere to food safety hygiene standards
- Work safely and follow OSHA and hotel policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
