Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- maintain current Food Handler's card
- meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
- attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees
- ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime
- pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
- basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
- ability to creatively problem-solve
- ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- maintain current Food Handler's card
- education or experience sufficient to meet position requirements or as required by State regulations
- meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
- requires attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- has compassion and special interest in working with the senior population

Job Duties
- Prepares food items and serves food to residents within scheduled timeframe
- follows menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
- cleans and maintains a neat, safe working environment including the kitchen and food service areas
- complies with state sanitation codes
- maintains inventory control, places food order, verifies that items are received appropriately and restocks kitchen shelves
- directs food serve and dining service functions
- maintains the quality of food prepared and samples the food to ensure the quality of the food served to the residents
