Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a kitchen cook or culinary position
- knowledge of cooking methods and food safety standards
- necessary food safety certification
- basic mathematical skills
- strong communication skills
- ability to work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Former engagement as a cook or in a relevant culinary capacity
- sound comprehension of cooking methods and principles essential for food preparation
- being familiar with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- obtain the essential certification for food safety, if not already secured
- foundational skills in mathematics and counting
- proficiency in communication and the ability to work well in a team setting
- attaining a high school diploma or its equal is favored, though not compulsory
Job Duties
- Create a diverse selection of dishes using standardized recipes and production guidelines
- arrange work areas with the necessary ingredients and tools for the task at hand
- arrange ingredients by cutting, trimming, measuring, blending, and similar tasks
- safely operate a range of kitchen tools and appliances including knives, ovens, stovetops, and mixers to prevent accidents or injuries
- prepare and cook dishes through baking, broiling, roasting, steaming, and other culinary processes
- present and distribute meals according to specific standards for their appearance and quantity
- abide by the recommended food safety protocols and store food in the appropriate manner
- maintain the hygiene of kitchen surfaces, machinery, and tools through cleaning and disinfecting
- provide outstanding service to customers while keeping a positive mindset
- ensure full adherence to Aramark's safety and sanitation policies
- ensure the security of organizational properties
