Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years cooking experience
- Prior hotel or restaurant cooking experience preferred
- Ability to follow standard recipes and food safety regulations
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work standing for long periods
- Ability to work under varying temperature conditions
- Ability to use and care for personal protective equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to comply with shift flexibility
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of cooking experience
- Prior hotel or restaurant cooking experience preferred
- Culinary or apprenticeship program preferred
- Good knowledge of broiler, sauté, fry, roast, moist heat cooking methods
- Understanding of sanitation standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment like stoves, ovens, broilers, steamers, kettles
- Basic math skills for recipe and portion calculations
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to work in confined spaces and extreme temperatures
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs continuously
Job Duties
- Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
- Visually inspect and select ideal food items for cooking
- Check and control proper storage of products to maintain quality
- Keep refrigeration equipment and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations
- Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
- Employ math skills to follow recipes
- Perform general cleaning tasks and maintain safe, clean floors
- Handle moving supplies and cleaning spills as requested
