Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Five or more years of cooking experience
- Culinary or apprenticeship program preferred
- Ability to obtain required licenses or certificates
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work in confined spaces and extreme temperature ranges
- Good knowledge of cooking methods and sanitation standards
- Basic math skills
- Ability to communicate in English
- Compliance with grooming and uniform standards
Job Qualifications

- Prior hotel and restaurant cooking experience preferred
- Ability to obtain government required licenses or certificates
- Good knowledge of broiler, saute, fry, roast, and moist heat cooking methods

- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs
- Ability to work continuously in confined spaces and extreme temperatures
- Neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
Job Duties
- Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
- Visually inspect, select and use only ideal food items for cooking
- Check and control proper storage of products
- Monitor age and condition of all food items to maintain quality
- Keep refrigeration and storage areas clean and compliant with health regulations
- Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
- Utilize math skills to follow recipes accurately
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- Keep floors dry and clean to prevent accidents
- Move supplies and equipment as needed
- Clean up unexpected spills and maintain work area cleanliness
