Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in a senior kitchen management role
- Formal culinary training or equivalent certification
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as an executive chef or similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Creativity in menu and recipe design
- Ability to manage budgets and optimize resources
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree or diploma in culinary arts or related field is preferred
Job Duties
- Ensuring promptness, freshness and quality of dishes
- Coordinating cooks' tasks
- Implementing hygiene policies and examining equipment for cleanliness
- Designing new recipes, planning menus and selecting plate presentation
- Reviewing staffing levels to meet service, operational and financial objectives
- Hiring and training kitchen staff, such as cooks, food preparation workers and dishwashers
- Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders
- Setting and monitoring performance standards for staff
- Obtaining feedback on food and service quality, and handling customer problems and complaints
