Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a bakery or food preparation environment preferred
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
- Adherence to safety and hygiene protocols including the use of Personal Protective Equipment and uniform standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience in baking or related roles preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques, guidelines, and sanitation regulations
- Food safety certification is a prerequisite
- Proficiency in basic math and numeracy
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to express ideas clearly in written and verbal forms
- Capability to perform physical duties such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking
- Familiarity with use of Personal Protective Equipment and uniform standards
Job Duties
- Utilize standardized recipes and production guidelines to bake a variety of goods
- Ensure workstation is equipped with all necessary ingredients and tools
- Prepare components by quantifying, weighing, blending, chopping, and other preparations
- Operate baking devices such as ovens, cookers, and mixers
- Practice safe handling of utensils during cooking and preparation
- Follow food safety procedures for proper storage of perishable items
- Sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after each use
