Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to use kitchen equipment safely
- food safety certification or willingness to obtain it
- strong attention to detail
- physical ability to perform kitchen duties
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- physical demands includes lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking and standing
Job Duties
- Being a Kitchen Attendant on our team will allow you to express your creativity and assist in making recipes come to life!
- Depending on the client's specifications and operational necessities, the essential duties and responsibilities may vary across different Aramark locations
- The process involves cooking and preparing food items following specified production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Lays out the workstation with all the essential equipment and ingredients
- Completes tasks such as measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items to prepare ingredients
- Handling different utensils, knives for example, requires caution
- Uses devices like ovens, cooking surfaces, slicers, mixers, and other equipment
- Uses an assortment of cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming on meats, vegetables, and other food components
- Systematizes, embellishes, and apportions meals in accordance with predetermined guidelines
- Follows food safety policies diligently when storing food items
- Ensures that workstations, instruments, and utensils are hygienic and germ-free
- Prioritizes exceptional customer service and maintains a friendly and upbeat approach in interactions with guests, customers, clients, and colleagues
- Upholds the safety policies and procedures established by Aramark, specifically emphasizing accurate food safety and sanitation practices
- Secures the protection of business assets
