Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and relative cleaning procedures
- Ability to read and follow directions
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach, and stoop
- Willingness to follow directions and ask questions for clarification
- Must communicate clearly with team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures
- Six months of food preparation experience in a licensed commercial establishment or culinary training preferred
- Proficient in an Asian language is a plus
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Good organizational skills
- Positive attitude and teamwork abilities
Job Duties
- Assist with preparing lunch and snack according to Child and Adult Food Program
- Maintain kitchen up to Health Department guidelines
- Follow all Early Learning Center licensing standards concerning health and safety practices
- Keep kitchen clean and well organized
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director
- Communicate clearly with kitchen cook and center staff
- Follow recipes under kitchen cook's supervision
