Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience working with the general public, preferably seniors
- ServSafe certification required
- Ability to follow instructions and prepare ingredients as instructed
- Ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of successful experience working with the general public, preferably with seniors
- Relevant ServSafe certification preferred
- Basic understanding of food safety standards and cleanliness
- Must be ServSafe certified as required by Elder Affairs Director
- Ability to follow instructions and prepare ingredients as instructed
- Must possess ability to work independently
- Possess verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to function with minimal supervision
- Must have strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Help set up and serve meals to senior center participants in a friendly and respectful manner
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, dining areas, and food prep stations
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries properly
- Take out trash and recycling and maintain overall kitchen and dining room organization
- Support special events and holiday meals as needed
- Work cooperatively with kitchen staff, volunteers, and senior center team members
- Other related duties as assigned
