Job Requirements
- Some lifting bending standing in one place required
- willingness to communicate professionally and respectfully with Food Service Director, Kitchen Manager, Cashier Manager, coworkers, building staff, and delivery personnel
- ability to precisely follow health and hygiene practices
- willingness to accept constructive criticism and seek to improve performance
- ability to maintain confidentiality in the school operation
- adherence to applicable state and federal laws, rules, regulations, board policies, and administrative rules
Job Qualifications
- Preference for high school graduate but not required
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to follow health and hygiene practices
- willingness to participate in food service staff meetings and complete annual training
- ability to maintain positive rapport with students, staff, parents, and community
Job Duties
- Assist in the final preparation before serving meals
- assist in preparing meals for satellite locations
- assist in prepping and preparing fresh fruits and vegetables daily for breakfast and/or lunch
- assist in stocking ala carte items and maintain inventory
- assist in monitoring tray accuracy ensuring items meet reimbursable meal requirements
- maintain daily production records for breakfast and lunch
- assist with dishwashing and clean-up of the kitchen area throughout the day and after meals have been served
