Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service preferred
- ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to follow food safety guidelines
- reliable attendance
- strong communication skills in Spanish

- physical capability to work in fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a school kitchen or cafeteria preferred
- ServSafe certified preferred
- fluency in Spanish with strong verbal communication skills
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

- some record keeping experience
Job Duties
- Greet students and staff in a friendly and courteous manner
- keep a clean and welcoming cafeteria environment
- wash and lift tables at the end of the lunch period
- empty full trash bins and take trash to outside dumpster
- assist students with their meals and answer any questions about menu items
- adhere to strict food safety and sanitation protocols
- provide friendly and professional customer service to school staff, students, and parents
- maintain accurate records of meal preparation, delivery activities, and inventory transactions
- assist with dishwashing duties including washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, carts, and utensils
- ensure that all dishes are properly cleaned and stored
- effectively communicate in Spanish to coordinate with staff and engage with Spanish-speaking students
