Job Requirements

  • Willingness to take on varied tasks across different camp areas and work collaboratively
  • Ability to carefully organize, label, and handle camper items in kitchen and laundry settings
  • Satisfactorily fulfill requirements for employment at the Staenberg-Loup JCC including background screening, three references, documentation, and compliance with CDHS law
  • Must be high-energy, enthusiastic, creative, and open-minded

  • Satisfactorily fulfill employment requirements including background screening, references, documentation, and compliance with CDHS law
  • Must be high-energy, enthusiastic, creative, and open-minded
  • Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Familiarity with kosher and allergen protocols with training provided
  • Previous experience in food service, housekeeping, or laundry work preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist with meal prep including washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients under direction of Head Chef and Sous Chef
  • Prepare dining hall before meals by setting up tables, dishes, cutlery, napkins, condiment stations, and beverage areas
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Follow kosher and allergen compliance policies ensuring safe food handling and serving
  • Wash, dry, fold camper laundry, camp linens, and other washable items and return laundry to designated bags
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry room and stock supplies
  • Stock bathrooms and hand washing stations in dining hall with essential supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels
  • Identify and report safety hazards or dangerous situations in laundry and camp areas to Facilities or Director team
  • Perform other assigned duties including support for camp events and activities
