Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old to operate certain kitchen equipment
- Competent and knowledgeable in procedures for all kitchen and guest service stations
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift a full 33-gallon trash bag from the trash container
- Able to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to bend, stretch, reach, push and kneel to access certain products or clean certain areas
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to perform repetitive cutting motions with a sharp knife
- Handle hot foods manually for several seconds during a scheduled shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to follow recipes and preparation standards accurately
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients
Job Duties
- Follow preparation standards for vegetables, meats and cheeses and prepare amounts shown on daily PAR sheets
- Use gloves when slicing meats
- Cover, label and store all vegetables, meats and cheeses at proper temperatures
- Prepare all salad mixes according to recipe standards and procedures
- Prepare all soups according to recipe standards and procedures
- Slice rolls according to established procedures and use gloves when performing this task
- Clean preparation stations according to safety and sanitation guidelines at the end of each shift
- Follow recipes and read customer tickets to accurately prepare all orders
- Work at a pace to maintain established restaurant service speed guidelines
- Keep a clean work station at all times
- Follow proper baking procedures for all breads according to recipe
- Maintain proper weights and test procedures according to the recipe
- Maintain production times according to daily PARs
- Prepare bakery products to meet proper shelf life
- Oversee parking lot cleanliness and ensure debris is picked up
- Clean tables and chairs in the patio area
- Empty outdoor trash receptacles as needed
- Consult with management on customer issues
- Maintain a positive working relationship and treat all employees with respect
- Familiarize and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain a positive attitude and follow manager instructions at all times
- Comply with strict safety and sanitation standards
- Arrive on time for each scheduled shift
- Adhere to all uniform and grooming standards
