Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old to operate certain kitchen equipment
- Competent and knowledgeable of procedures for all kitchen and guest service stations
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift a full 33-gallon trash bag from container
- Ability to stand and walk throughout scheduled shift
- Ability to bend, reach, stretch, push, and kneel for cleaning or retrieving products
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to perform repetitive cutting movements with a sharp knife
- Ability to handle hot foods by hand for several seconds during a shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience an asset
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and food preparation instructions
- Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and customer service orientation
- Basic math skills for portion control and measurements
Job Duties
- Follow preparation standards for vegetables, meats, and cheeses and prepare quantities shown in daily PAR sheets
- Use gloves when cutting and slicing meats
- Cover, label, and store vegetables, meats, and cheeses at appropriate temperatures
- Prepare salad mixes according to recipe standards and procedures
- Prepare soups according to recipe standards and procedures
- Slice buns following established procedures and use gloves when performing this function
- Clean preparation stations according to safety and sanitation guidelines at the end of each shift
- Follow recipes and read customer tickets to accurately prepare all orders
- Work at a pace consistent with restaurant service speed guidelines
- Maintain a clean work station at all times
- Follow proper baking procedures for all breads according to recipe
- Follow bakery production sheets
- Maintain proper weights and testing procedures according to recipes
- Maintain production times according to daily PARs
- Prepare bakery products to meet proper shelf life
- Monitor and clean parking lot, including debris pickup
- Clean patio tables and chairs
- Empty outdoor trash receptacles as needed
- Consult with management on customer issues
- Maintain positive working relationships and treat all coworkers with respect
- Familiarize with and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain a positive attitude and follow manager instructions at all times
- Adhere to strict safety and sanitation standards
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Comply with uniform and personal grooming standards when arriving and leaving work
