Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience preferred or willingness to start as entry-level dishwasher or prep cook
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to walk, lift, twist, bend, reach, and handle food frequently
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
- Flexible working hours including holidays and weekends
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well with a team
- Physical capability to lift up to 25-50 pounds occasionally with assistance
- Completion of food safety training before working on line
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience preferred
- Culinary training preferred
- Experience in dishwashing, prep/cook, and expediting
- ServSafe certification preferred or must complete training provided by Cinepolis
- Proficiency in kitchen operations and execution
- Working knowledge of U.S. measurements, weight and volume
- Ability to follow instructions on safe use of chemical/cleaning materials
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills with support personnel and management
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a positive manner
- Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Prepare menu items accurately and promptly when ordered through point of sale system
- Ensure only ordered items are made and maintain integrity
- Accommodate special requests with management approval
- Prepare dishes according to recipes to maintain quality and consistency
- Work cooperatively with kitchen staff to deliver food simultaneously and timely
- Remake items as directed by supervisors or managers
- Adhere to food handling safety guidelines including temperature control and preventing cross contamination
- Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes and cleaning work area during and after shifts
- Keep kitchen stocked with dry products and prep materials
- Use FIFO system to keep food fresh and reduce waste
- Maintain accurate waste logs for discarded items
- Communicate inventory levels to supervisor and kitchen manager
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Follow safety procedures including wearing gloves and seeking assistance when lifting heavy items
- Lock and secure food and equipment
- Follow all opening, mid, and closing procedures
- Attend and participate in trainings and meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
