Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a restaurant kitchen environment preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Basic understanding of food safety standards
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Positive attitude towards learning and adapting to new tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Restaurant kitchen experience preferred
  • Comfortable with managing competing priorities in a fast-paced restaurant setting
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with all the kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work in collaboration with the team members
  • Food handler's license a plus

Job Duties

  • Set up workstations with all the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Check quality of ingredients
  • Prepare ingredients for the day's usage
  • Cook various menu items according to restaurant recipes
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
  • Keep a sanitized and organized environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly and at the correct temperature
  • Check kitchen inventory and restock items as needed
  • Assist other team members
  • Report any mishaps in the kitchen to management
  • Help in the unloading of deliveries
  • Adhere to all food safety standards
