- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Willingness to take constructive criticism and follow directions
- Prior experience in food service preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Acknowledge all customers entering and exiting the store
- Provide the highest quality of interactions with customers by being pleasant, friendly, and polite
- Prepare food items per established recipes and menus maintaining freshness, quality, and nutritional value
- Respond quickly and respectfully to customer complaints and notify the person in charge
- Make appropriate suggestions to customers orders using suggestive selling techniques
- Store food items according to standards with proper labeling and dating
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and organized work environment and clean up spills quickly
- Communicate food production and kitchen operation needs to supervisor
- Monitor kitchen equipment functioning and report discrepancies
- Utilize safe food handling techniques
- Assist other staff with kitchen functions
- Maintain inventory of food items and tools
- Prepare menu items following proper recipes
- Complete all assigned cleaning and prep work
- Perform duties in any area assigned by management
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Perform any other assignments given by manager or supervisor
- Expect additional duties as assigned
